We are pleased to be the treatment providers and training co-ordinators for the Taranaki Mountain Airs in the NBL competition. With the quality of basketball being played by the New Zealand Breakers, our national competition is growing from strength to strength. Competing against the best in the country, the level of competition is high! If you love what the Breakers have been doing, then you can witness even more in the NBL competition. Get to the games and support your local team!
BodyLogic is a sponsor of the Taranaki Trail Running Series. We are big advocates of running on trail vs road as the stress placed on the body is reduced. Many people will run on the road or footpath because of convenience, but in Taranaki we are blessed with great trails right on our doorstep! This series is designed to get people out and to explore what we have here, as well as providing a bit of competition for those that want to 'race'.
Get amongst it!
BodyLogic is also proud to support local taranaki athletes, aiding them in their endevours as they strive to excel in their chosen disciplines. Many may not realise that 'living the dream' as a professional athlete often means a lot of hard work with relatively little (or no) financial return. Athletes all appreciate that their body needs to be in good shape in order to compete, but often they simply don't get the treatment they require to perform at their best. Here is a list of a few athletes we support through the provision of sponsored treatment. If you are interested in also supporting any of these athletes, please feel free to contact us.
Paige is a regular on the world tours, with a number of top placings over the past years. While it may seem like she has been around forever, Paige is still only in her early 20's. Paige has achieved some amazing results during her surfing career and we are proud to be able to help out with treatment during her time at home.
Clark is one of New Zealands top triathletes, racing against the worlds best for over a decade. Clark is eyeing a shift from short to long course triathlon, having excelled in recent efforts at major events such as Auckland 70.3 (3rd) and St Croix 70.3 (3rd). Blessed with strength and determination (and being Taranaki hard core), Clark is sure to impress in the long course scene. We are here to help him out where possible to ensure he trains and competes at his best.
Daniel is one of New Zealands premier swimmers, having won a silver medal in 100m backstroke at the 2010 Delhi Commonwealth Games. Daniel also represented NZ at the 2008 and 2012 Olympic games. A shoulder injury has been hampering his swim training in more recent times, but we are helping manage him through the rehabilitation process. Daniel is currently aiming to make the Commonwealth games team for 2014, and his pool times are heading in the right direction. It is our job to keep him training as much as possible!
Shanon has seen Mick for treatment for a number of years. Now that Shanon is a full time athlete and living in New Plymouth, he regularly comes into Body Logic to receive his "tune up's".
Previous results include 5th Pro Male at 2012 Ironman Canada, 3rd Pro Male - NZ Half Ironman Champs 2012.
